Mens Soccer- The Chargers opened up their 2005 season under new head coach, John Campbell, at the Southern New Hampshire University Tournament this past weekend. On August 26, Dominican handed St. Anselm College a 2-1 defeat behind the stellar play of the returning Clancy brothers who each netted a goal in the first half. Senior Kyle, the 2004 CACC Player of the Year, netted a goal at 30:29 off the pass from brother, Ryan. Two minutes later, Ryan, scored off the cross pass by Brent Gaylord and Michael Maffei. The team then faced off against Southern New Hampshire University on August 27 and were handed a tough 0-1 loss. Sophomore goal keeper Robert Kelly finished with two saves. This will be another busy travel week for the Chargers as they square off against Le Moyne College on August 31 and then head up to Franklin-Pierce College for their Labor Day Classic. The Chargers will face the University of Bridgeport on September 2 and Franklin-Pierce College on September 4.
Womens Soccer- The Lady Chargers will open up the 2005 season on August 30 as they travel to Southern Connecticut State University for a 7pm game. Over the Labor Day weekend, the team will travel to the Millersville University Tournament and face off against New York Institute of Technology on September 2 and the University of New Haven on September 3.
Womens Volleyball- The womens volleyball team will face off against Fairleigh Dickinson University-Madison on September 6 to begin the 2005 season.
