Mens Soccer- The Chargers extended their winning streak to eleven games after posting a 2-0 record this week. They now stand at 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the CACC. On 10/11, Dominican handed the College of St. Rose a 6-0 loss. Goals were scored by Diego Miranda, Joe Ruesgan, Kyle Clancy (2) and Ryan Clancy (2). Assists were given to Jhonny Arteaga, Ruesgan, Miranda (2), Scott Silvia, and Brent Gaylord (2). On 10/16, the Chargers hosted Caldwell College in a CACC showdown of the unbeaten teams. Dominican posted a 3-1 victory behind Ryan Clancy who had one goal and one assist. Arteaga netted the two other goals, while Tom Rolston, Pablo Pozo, Silvia, and Ruesgan all had assists. This week, DC goes to Nyack College on 10/18 and will have Senior Day on 10/22 against the University of the District of Columbia at 2pm. The Chargers are currently ranked 18th in the nation and third in their region.
Womens Soccer- The Lady Chargers post a 0-1 record this week. On 10/10, Dominican hosted Merrimack College in a non-conference game and lost 0-3. The team now stands at 5-8-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the CACC. The 10/12 game against Georgian Court University was postponed due to inclement weather and was re-scheduled for 10/24. This week, DC travels to Goldey Beacom College on 10/17 and will host Caldwell College on 10/19, honoring four Lady Chargers on Senior Day.
Womens Volleyball- The womens volleyball team had a rough week after going 0-3. The Lady Chargers now stand at 6-13 overall and 5-10 in the CACC. On 10/12, the team hosted Georgian Court University. The match went five games, but GCU came away with the 3-2 victory. Kinikia Collier led the team with 15 kills and 25 digs. Megan Earl led the way with 40 assists. On 10/15, DC traveled to Nyack College for a tri-match. In the first match against Nyack, which was a non-conference match, the Lady Warriors handed Dominican a 1-3 loss. Jessica Zanotti had 12 kills, while Collier had 11 and Katlin Earl had 23 assists. In the second match, Wilmington College swept the Lady Chargers, 0-3. Once again, Collier led the team with 8 kills and Earl had 17 assists. This week, Dominican travels to Post University on 10/18 and will host a tri-match o 10/22 against Philadelphia University and Bloomfield College.
