Men's Basketball-The Charger basketball team hosted the DC Tip-Off Tournament this past weekend and came away with an 0-2 record. On 11/18, the team faced #22 Adelphi University and suffered a 63-72 loss. Transfer Prince Jackson led the team with 18 points, while seniors Paul Tuomey and James Gray netted 10 and 11 points, respectively. The team looked good from the three-point arc, shooting 50% for the game (8-16). On 11/19, DC took on Queens in a game that was decided in the final second as Queens pulled out a 77-76 victory. Jackson led the way with 19 points, while senior Tahiem Stewart chipped in 15 points and six rebounds. Gray netted 12 points and Tuomey added 10 points, while Chaz Holloway grabbed eight rebounds. Dominican won't play again until December 1 as they travel to CACC foe Post University for Opening Night of CACC play at 8pm, following the women's game at 6pm.

Women's Basketball-The Lady Chargers started off the 2005-06 season with a big win over the College of St. Rose, 71-66 on 11/15. Jill Younghans and Dana Rotio each netted 14 points in the win, going a combined 9-9 from the free throw line. Center Ashley Rossi scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while junior Jackie Tracey also scored 13 points, with 5 assists and shooting 9-10 from the foul line. Before the break, DC will host Mercy College on 11/22/05 at 7pn in the Hennessy Center.
