Cleary, Mejia And Binkiewicz Earn Baseball Weekly Honors

New Haven, CT - Dan Cleary of Wilmington College has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week and Tommy Mejia of Dominican College has been named Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 19. Craig Binkiewicz of NJIT has earned Rookie of the Week honors.

New Haven, CT - Dan Cleary of Wilmington College has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week and Tommy Mejia of Dominican College has been named Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 19. Craig Binkiewicz of NJIT has earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Cleary, a senior outfielder from Milton, DE, hit .462 (12-26) in a 6-2 week with six runs, five RBI, three doubles and three stolen bases. He collected three hits in two games and had two hits in two other contests. He went 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBI against Florida Memorial.

Mejia, a sophomore pitcher, struck out 10 batters in a complete game victory over C.W. Post. Mejia, who hails from Brooklyn, NY, allowed eight hits and one run over 9.0 innings of work.

Binkiewicz hit .692 (9-of-13) for the week with five runs scored, two RBI, five stolen bases and a .750 on-base percentage. The freshman outfielder from Belleville, NJ, went 3-for-4 with a run against St. Thomas Aquinas and collected two hits against both East Stroudsburg and Wayne State.
