Dominican Earns Top Seed In CACC Baseball Tournament

New Haven, CT (5/7/06) - Dominican College has clinched the top seed for the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Tournament, which will be hosted by Wilmington College on Thursday, May 11 to Saturday, May 13. The Chargers will be gunning for their second straight CACC Tournament crown. The winner of the tournament will receive the CACC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Dominican Earns Top Seed In CACC Baseball Tournament

New Haven, CT (5/7/06) - Dominican College has
clinched the top seed for the upcoming Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Tournament, which
will be hosted by Wilmington College on Thursday, May 11
to Saturday, May 13. The Chargers will be gunning for
their second straight CACC Tournament crown. The winner of
the tournament will receive the CACC's automatic bid to
the NCAA Tournament.

Dominican enters the tournament with an overall record of
36-15 and a 23-4 mark in the CACC. The Chargers swept
through last year's tournament and defeated NJIT, 5-4, in
the championship game.

Wilmington is the second seed and finished the season
30-19 overall and 21-6 in conference play. The Wildcats
will face third seeded Bloomfield in the first round, as
the Deacons concluded the season 25-25 overall and 17-10
in the CACC.

The fourth seed is Felician. The Golden Falcons enter the
tournament 27-23 overall and 15-12 in conference play.

The tournament schedule and match-ups are below. It is a
double-elimination format.
