Dominican (22-28) scored in the top of the second when, after back-to-back singles and a sacrifice bunt, Joshua Colon (Bronx, N.Y.) lifted a sac fly to foul territory in right field to bring in the game's first run.
The Owls tied the contest in the third as Jim Palmer delievered a two out single up-the-middle that brought home a run and knotted the game, 1-all.

The Chargers added to its lead in the eighth on three straight two-out singles, including Jordan Bernacet's (Schenectady, N.Y.) sharp grounder to first that took a vicious hop off the first baseman to bring home Anthony Bartolomei (Oakhurst, N.Y.), who began the rally with a single down the left field line.
DC used another two-out hit in the ninth, this one an RBI double to the gap in right-center off the bat of Jayson Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y.), to widened the gap before a dropped fly ball brought in another run to make the score, 5-1.
The Owls made it interesting in the ninth after Griffin Garabedian swatted a two-run homer to right, but that was as close as Southern Connecticut would make it.
Brett Schneider (Coral Springs, Fla) earned the complete-game win as he allowed three runs on eight hits and three walks, striking out nine to improve to 4-3 on the season.
Bartolomei (walk, two runs), Libio (RBI, run) and Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.) were each 2-for-4 for Dominican.
