Dominican College baseball player, Justin Decker, has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® First Team.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/14/18) The 2018 Google Cloud All-District® Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom was released late last week. Dominican College's Justin Decker has been named to the First Team for the second consecutive year.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to t he Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-teamAcademic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.

Decker, a junior currently maintains a 3.80 grade-point average and is majoring in Financial Management.  He ranked in the top five in the conference doubles, hits, batting average and on-base percentage, while sitting ninth in RBIs and slugging percentage.  Decker led the team in hits, doubles, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic  districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizeshonorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.

The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams.
