Riverhead, NY (4/4/06) The Dominican College golf team finished in third place at the Peter King Memorial Tournament hosted by Dowling College.
In the first day of competition, the Chargers shot a 317 which put them in third place. Both A. J. Lee (Nanuet, NY) and Brian Mackey (Chestnut Ridge, NY) both shot a 77 to put them in a three way tie for third.
On the second day, Lee fired off a round of 76 for a final score of 153 to finish in third place. Mackey shot a 79 for a two day total of 156, which tied him for ninth.
As a team, the Chargers shot a second best 306 on the final day to finish with a total score of 623 to capture the third place spot behind Goldey-Beacom College and Pace University.
Michael Ciaravino (Islip Terrace, NY) and Tony Viola (Pomona, NY) finished in a tie for twelfth place with a two day total of 157.
