Chargers Golf Team Ranked In Region

Indianapolis, IN (4/20/07)  Three men's golf teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) are ranked in the Northeast Region according to this week's NCAA Division II Regional Poll. Post stands third, Goldey-Beacom is seventh and Dominican is 10th.

Post is coming off its second consecutive CACC Championship, which it won on Tuesday by one stroke over Goldey-Beacom. Post fired a 311 while the Lightning carded a 312. Dominican finished third at the tournament with a 316. The tournament was held at Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown, DE, on Tuesday, April 17.

By virtue of claiming the CACC Championship, Post has earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Northeast Region Championship. The tournament will be played at Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling, WV, on May 7-9.

Bentley College garnered the automatic bid from the Northeast-10 Conference. Six other teams from the region will be invited to play in the regional. The field will be released on Friday, April 27. The complete regional poll for April 20 is below.
