Mercyhurst College Dominates Dominican Chargers. 15-3

Blauvelt, NY (3/26/06) The Mercyhurst College men's lacrosse team dominated the Dominican College Chargers, 15-3 this afternoon to improve to 6-1 on the year, while the Chargers fall to 1-6.

Blauvelt, NY (3/26/06)  The Mercyhurst College men's lacrosse team dominated the Dominican College Chargers, 15-3 this afternoon to improve to 6-1 on the year, while the Chargers fall to 1-6.

Eight different Lakers notched goals as Mike Bartlett (Orchard Park, NY) got MC on the board just 0:55 seconds into the game off the pass by Bryon Lindner (Webster, NY).  Adam Mulherin (Syracuse, NY), Scott Janssen (New Westminster, BC), Ryan Arnold (Westminster, MD), and David Osier (Camillus, NY) all followed suit as the Lakers jumped out to a 5-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Dominican got on the board in the third quarter as sophomore attackmen Joe Cobis (Riverhead, NY) put it past the goalie to make the score 13-1.  The Chargers added two goals in the fourth quarter as freshman Jeremy Arcaro (New Windsor, NY) scored two goals, both off the pass by Owen Smith II (Upper Saddle River, NJ).

Andrew Schuster (Reisterstown, MD) led the Lakers with four goals and two assists, while Osier added three goals and two assists in the win.  Lindner ended the day with two goals and two assists, while Janssen contributed two goals and an assist, respectively.  Blake Tandoi (Fairport, NY) had a game leading three assists in the win.

The Chargers are back in action on Wednesday, April 5th when they host Montclair State University at 4 pm.
