MEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO MERCY COLLEGE

Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. (4/2/19) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team fell to the Mavericks of Mercy College in a non-conference game by a score of 18-6.

DC falls to 1-7 overall on the season while the Mavericks remain undefeated with an overall record of 12-0.

The Mavericks scored the game's first 10 goals with six coming in the first quarter. DC ended the run with two goals at the end of the second quarter, but the Mavericks answered with a goal to give them an 11-2 lead at halftime.

The Mavericks opened the third quarter with four straight goals and outscored DC in the quarter 6-2. The Mavericks added one more goal in the fourth quarter on their way to the victory over Dominican.

For the Chargers, Lorcan Teahan (Sparkill, N.Y.) and Luke Martini (Abington, Mass.) each scored two goals in the loss. Shaun Palmer (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Ryan Fischer (Monroe, N.Y.) each had a goal for the Chargers.

Ryan MacSpadyen led the Mavericks with four goals and added two assists while JoJo Janavey scored three goals. Bobby Chillianis, Joe Poggio, and Tommy McPartland each finished the game with two goals. Dominic Scorcia, Ricky Marchelos, Jack Gibbons, Robert LoRicco, and Sean Stockton all added one goal in the win.

The Chargers will be back in action on Wednesday, April 10th when they visit Post University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at 3:00 PM.
