Five Chargers Named To All-CACC Men's Soccer Team
Blauvelt, NY (10/27/06) Five members of the men's soccer team were named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Team as was announced by the conference office yesterday.

Blauvelt, NY (10/27/06) Four members of the men's soccer team were named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Team as was announced by the conference office yesterday.
Joseph Ruesgan, Diego Miranda, Jhonny Arteaga, and Ryan Clancy were all named to the All-CACC First Team, while keeper Robert Kelly earned All-CACC Second Team honors.
Ruesgan, a native of Campbeltown, Scotland,
is a junior defender who has started every game this year for the
Chargers. He has three goals and four assists for ten points
on the year, with one game-winning goal. One of this year's
captains, he was named to the 2005 NCAA Division II New England
Regional All-Tournament Team.
Miranda, who hails from Quito, Ecuador, has played
in all 17 games this year and has started 16 of them. He has
scored four goals and three assists for a total of 11 points this
year. He has been a crucial part of the Charger midfield this
season.
Junior forward, Arteaga who is from Cali
Colombia, has started all 17 games this year. He is tied for
second on the team with seven goals, one of them being in
yesterday's CACC Semi-Final victory over Caldwell College, and is
second on the team with five assists for a total of 19
points. He garnished All-CACC Second Team honors last year,
along with being named to the NCAA Division II New England Regional
All-Tournament Team.
Clancy, a former standout player at Pine Bush High
School, leads the team with eight goals and 12 assists this year
for a total of 28 points, with four game winning goals. He
was named to the All-CACC First Team, All-CACC Tournament Team,
NCAA Division II New England Regional All-Tournament Team and to
the NSCAA/Adidas Divsion II All-New England Second Team last
season. Clancy recorded a goal and an assist
in yesterday's win.
Kelly, a native of Kearny, NJ, has started in goal
for the Chargers in all seventeen games this year. He has
recorded seven shut outs and has allowed on 16 goals for a 0.92
goals against average. He has 39 saves for a 70.9% save
percentage. He was all ALL-CACC First Team last year and was
ranked fifth in the nation with a 0.553 goals against average.
Nyack College junior midfielder Tim Conway has been honored as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Year in balloting released today. Wilmington College freshman forward Sargbah Tarpeh was named the Rookie of the Year and Wildcat head coach Nick Papanicolas was selected as the Coach of the Year. Nyack and Bloomfield College tied in balloting for the annual Team Sportsmanship Award. The conference's nine head coaches conducted the voting for the awards.
