The Griffins were previously a member of NCAA Division III.
Dominican, under the guidance of head coach John Campbell, returns nine starters after winning the CACC regular-season and tournament championships for the third consecutive season. The Chargers went 8-0 in CACC play and defeated Post 1-0 for the tournament championship. Ryan Clancy, the 2006 Tournament MVP and first team All-CACC pick, will help lead Dominican. Clancy stood second in the CACC in points (30), first in assists (12) and fifth in goals (9) in 2006 as a junior. He also led the conference with five game-winning goals. Dominican will also be led by senior goalie, Robert Kelly, who led the CACC in goals-against average (0.93) last season.
Wilmington will be led by 2006 CACC Coach of the Year, Nick Papanicolas. The Wildcats will also be aided by the return of senior goalie Dan Mangat and sophomore forward Sargbah Tarpeh. Mangat was a first team All-CACC pick last season after leading the league in save percentage (.849) and saves (141). Tarpeh tied for fourth in the CACC with 28 points and second with 12 goals en route to being named the 2006 CACC Rookie of the Year.
Numerous All-Conference performers will be returning for the 2007 season, as there were only five seniors among the 22 All-Conference selections a year ago. Headlining the returning players is 2006 CACC Player of the Year, Tim Conway of Nyack. Conway, a rising senior, led the conference in points (36) and goals (16) last season.
