Dominican College sophomore Joe Wright has been named Rookie of the Week for the third consecutive week.

New Haven, CT (9/24/07) Post University sophomore Eurica Trowers has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week accolades for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 23. Dominican College sophomore Joe Wright has been named Rookie of the Week for the third consecutive week.
Trowers, a 5-9 sophomore forward from Bronx, NY, recorded a hat-trick to lead Post to a 4-1 win over Chestnut Hill Saturday in the Eagles' first CACC win of the season. He tied the game in the 22nd minute and went on to score twice more.
Wright, a sophomore forward from
Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, tallied a goal and two assists for a
total of four points in a 2-0 week for the Chargers. He dished out
two assists in a 3-0 victory over Felician and scored one goal in
an overtime win over Nyack.
Honorable Mention
Jhonny Arteaga, Dominican (Sr., M, Stamford, CT) - Scored three goals for the week, including the game-winner in an overtime victory at Nyack.
Sargbah Tarpeh, Wilmington (So., F, Philadelphia, PA) - Netted three goals in a 2-0 week. Scored the first goal of the game in both contests.
Andrew Thorne, Chestnut Hill (So., M, Nazareth, PA) - Scored three goals in a 1-1 week. Scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Ursinus.
CACC Men's Soccer Notes
Felician - Felician's 4-3 home loss to Holy Family on Saturday was the first time this season it had scored more than once in a game, and its first three-goal game since winning at HFU, 3-2, on Oct. 16, 2004. Also on Saturday, senior GK Nick Lyons made his first start since Sept. 15, 2005, against Dominican.
Post - Sophomore Eurica Trowers scored three times to help the Post men's soccer team win its first CACC match of the season, beating Chestnut Hill, 4-1 last Saturday at LaMoy Field. Senior Raleigh Woodburn netted the other goal of the afternoon for the Eagles on a penalty kick in the first half. Post has two key CACC matches this week, as it travels to Caldwell on Tuesday and hosts Dominican on Saturday afternoon.
