DOMINICAN'S ARTEAGA NAMED TO DAKTRONICS NCAA DIVISION II ALL-AMERICA TEAM

Blauvelt, NY (11/28/07) Dominican College men's soccer player, Jhonny Arteaga, has been named to the Daktronics Division II Men's Soccer All-America Team as was announced today.

Arteaga, a native of Stamford, CT, was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year.  He led the CACC in points (38), goals (16) and game-winning goals (six) this season and also ranked second with six assists. He scored 12 more points and four more goals than anyone else in the conference in leading Dominican to its fourth consecutive CACC regular-season championship.  He was also named to the Division II Daktronics All-New England Region First Team earlier this month.

Arteaga is the first CACC men's soccer player to be named to the Daktronics All-America Team which began last year.

He ends his career at DC with 30 goals, 21 assists for a total of 81 points in three years.  He had seven game winning goals in 77 games.
