FIRST HALF SCORING LEADS PANTHERS OVER MEN'S SOCCER

Garden City, N.Y. (9/2/17) The Adelphi University men's soccer team netted two goals in the first half to lead them to a 2-0 victory over the visiting Chargers of Dominican College in the finale of the Adelphi University Alumni Invitational played on Motamed Field.

A shot from the right just three minutes into the contest gave AU the 1-0 advantage.  Two and a half minutes later, the Panthers netted a goal to prople them to the 2-0 lead and eventual win.

Freshman Joshua Stephens (Stony Creek, Ontario) had a career high seven saves in the loss.

Dominican falls to 0-2 on the season, while Adelphi is now 1-0-1.

The Chargers will continue on their season opening road trip as they travel to non-conference opponent, Franklin Pierce University this coming Wednesday night
