New Haven, Conn. (8/7/18) Wilmington University was picked first in the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced on Tuesday by Commissioner Dan Mara. The Wildcats earned 149 points, including one first-place vote, as the voting for the preseason poll was conducted by league's 13 head coaches in the sport.
Wilmington finished third in the league last season and advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2017 CACC Championship. The Wildcats have traditionally been among the strongest teams in both the conference and East Region under the guidance of head coach Nick Papanicolas.
