Mahwah, N.J. (4/1/17) The Dominican College men's track and field team finished in 11th place at the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Ramapo College of New Jersey yesterday and today.
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Athlete of the Week, Seth Wilson (Monroe, N.Y.), competed in the finals of the 100m dash and took second place with a time of 11.05. In the preliminaries, he also finished second with a time of 11.06. Andrew Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) also competed in the 100m dash prelims where he took ninth place with a time of 11.52, while Dylan Roadarmel (New City, N.Y.) finished in 36th place with a time of 12.02. Elijah Castro (Bergenfield, N.J.) finished in 44th place with a time of 12.21 and Wyatt Brooks (Suffern, N.Y.) took 59th place with a time of 12.85.
Wilson won the 200m dash with a time of 21.96.
Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) competed in the 400m dash where he took 27th place with a time of 54.35.
In the 4x100m relay, the team of Brooks, Pierre, Michael Merced (Pearl River, N.Y.) and Wilson finished in third place with a time of 44.06.
Freshman Justin Estevez (Nanuet, N.Y.) competed in the long jump where he finished in 16th place with a jump of 5.65m (18 feet, 6.50 inches).
In the shot put event, George Psarakis (Monroe, N.Y.) finished in 25th place with a throw of 7.78m (25 feet, 6.25 inches). He also competed in the discus throw where he finished 35th with a throw of 25.70m (84 feet, 4 inches).
Psarakis took 28th in the javelin throw with a throw of 28.94m (94 feet, 11 inches) and Joseph Faulborn (Dumont, N.J.) took 32nd place with a throw of 20.46m (67 feet, 1 inch).
