MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD COMPETE AT CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Lakewood, N.J. (5/5/19) The Dominican College men's track and field team competed today at the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships held at the Track and Field Complex on the campus of Georgian Court University.

Senior Andre Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) had the finish of third place in the 100m dash with a time of 11.05.  Lowell Pierrette (Elmsford, N.Y.) took 16th place with a time of 11.55.

In the 200m dash, Pierre took seventh place with a time of 23.00 and freshman Brandon Adams (Highland Mills, N.Y.) finished in 24th place with a time of 23.94.

Justin Estevez (Nanuet, N.Y.) ran the 400m dash in a time of 52.83 to finish in 14th place, while Patrick Bateman (Pearl River, N.Y.) took 15th place with a time of 52.97.  Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) ran a time of 54.09 to finish in 18th place and senior Michael Merced (Pearl River, N.Y.) took 19th place with a time of 54.27.  Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) finished in 24th place with a time of 58.39.

In the 800m run, sophomore Cameron Whitton (Monroe, N.Y.) took 22nd place with a time of 2:15.68.

David Jeffers (Florida, N.Y.) ran a time of 5:00.88 in the 1500m run to fnish in 24th place.

The 110m hurdles saw Pierrette take 14th place with a time of 16.70.

The 4x100m relay team of Merced, Pierrette, Adams and Pierre had the high finish of second place with a time of 43.62.

The team of Cruz, Florvil, Bateman and Merced finished in ninth place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:39.45.

Adams took sixth place in the high jump with a jump of 1.87m (6 feet, 1.50 inches).

In the long jump, Pierrette took 10th place with a jump of 6.16m (20 feet, 2.50 inches)
