New Haven, Conn. (11/2/17) Twenty-two (22) student-athletes on Thursday were named to the 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 22 honorees come from 12 member institutions that sponsor the sport at the varsity level in the CACC.
Dominican College's senior Adam Klein (Nanuet, N.Y.) makes his first appearance on the team with a GPA of 3.61.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University), which claimed the 2017 CACC men's title last week at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, Del., led the way with five honorees on the All-Academic Team, including Sergei Cendo (3.72), Greg Dawson (3.96), Ethan Fadale (3.75), Alec Fixl (3.73) and Zachary Samalonis (3.61).
Chestnut Hill College, which finished runner-up to Jefferson in the championship race, followed next with four honorees, as five teams overall had multiple honorees make the list.
The student-athlete to boast the highest GPA on the list was Nyack College's Benjamin Tse, who owns a perfect 4.0 mark.
