DOMINICAN'S BECK NAMED TO NFCA ALL-NORTHEAST REGION TEAM
Orangeburg, NY (5/8/08) Dominican College softball player, Sarah Beck, has been named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Northeast Region First Team as was announced by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) today.

Orangeburg, NY (5/8/08) Dominican College softball player, Sarah Beck, has been named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Northeast Region First Team as was announced by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) today.
Beck, a junior outfielder from Miltoh, NY,
finished second on the team this year with a .383 batting
average. She was also second in hits (67), doubles (9), total
bases (87) and RBIs (35). She finished third in runs scored
(27). She finished eighth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) in batting average and finished the year with a
.914 fielding percentage.
For her efforts, Beck was named to the All-CACC First Team for the second time in her career and was previously named the 2006 CACC Rookie of the Year. She was also one of the team captains this season.
The Lady Chargers finished the season with a 30-24 overall record and a 18-6 CACC record. DC finished third in the CACC and was given the #3 seed in the CACC Tournament. Dominican was eliminated from the tournament by #4 Holy Family University, 3-1 to end their season.
