Head Coach: Joe Burbridge
Coach Burbridge was named Head Softball Coach in June of 2008 after spending the 2008 season as the Interim Head Coach. He returned to DC after spending the 2007 season as the Adelphi University Head Coach. He compiled a record of 39-13, while setting a school record for wins. The Panthers won the ECC Regular Season Title with a 18-2 record and was ranked as high as 8th in the country, in addition to earning a berth in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
Burbridge spent the 2005 and 2006 seasons as an assistant coach on the Dominican staff. As the Interim Coach in 2008, he led the Lady Chargers to a 30-24 overall record and an 18-4 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) this season. The team finished in third place in the CACC and swept a non-conference double-header from the eventual CACC Champions, Caldwell College. DC went into the CACC Tournament with the third place seed and lost in the semi-finals to Holy Family University. He returned to Dominican last season as an assistant.
Coach Burbridge is a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey. He received his master's degree from Seton Hall University. He and his wife, Joann live in Mahwah, NJ with their daughter, Colleen Paige, who was born on October 27, 2006.

Assistant Coach: Crystal Helmke
Coach Helmke enters her third year on the Lady Chargers staff after spending her collegiate career as a Lady Charger. She was a member of both the softball and volleyball teams for four years and was a captain of both teams in her senior year. In her senior year she finished the year with a .286 batting average and a .975 fielding percentage. She is the only player in Lady Charger history to play every position in a game against New York Institute of Technology. She was named to the All-CACC Second Team in her senior year.
As a third year coach, she will be primarily responsible for working with the catchers and outfielders.
A 2005 graduate of Dominican College, Helmke resides in New City, NY.
Assistant Coach: Keri Banta
Coach Banta enters her second year on the DC staff.
Banta is a graduate of SUNY-Cortland where she was a four year member of the softball team. She was a co-captain in her senior year and volunteered as a coach for the 2006 season, primarily working with the catchers and practice organization.
She has also worked at the Nike sponsored Summer Softball Camp held at SUNY-Cortland where she was a camp counselor, supervising and coaching girls ages 10-18.
A 2006 graduate of SUNY-Cortland, she received her BS in Health Science. Banta currently resides in Stony Point, NY.
Assistant Coach: Mike Palius
Coach Palius enters his second season on the Lady Charger staff.
He will be responsible for the strength and conditioning program of the Lady Chargers softball squad. Coach Palius holds a certificate from the World Instructor Training School and freelances as a personal trainer. Prior to that, he worked as a compensation manager for numerous companies over the last ten years.
A graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey, Palius received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. He currently resides in Pompton Lakes, NJ.
