Dominican Lady Chargers Upend Bloomfield College Deacons, 2-1

Blauvelt, NY (10/18/06) The Dominican College women’s soccer team defeated the Bloomfield College Deacons, 2-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this afternoon.

Dominican Lady Chargers Upend Bloomfield College Deacons, 2-1

Blauvelt, NY (10/18/06)          The Dominican College women's soccer team defeated the Bloomfield College Deacons, 2-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this afternoon.

The Lady Deacons scored early as Mirlande Teleus netted a goal off the pass by Saint Anne Pierre at 3:23 to give Bloomfield a 1-0 lead.

Dominican tied the score at 1-1 when senior Stacey Ryan (Mahopac, NY) converted a penalty kick at 16:40.

The Lady Chargers took the lead late in the first half as Amanda Ragule (New Paltz, NY) scored a goal off the double assist by Erin Ploetz (Schenectady, NY) and senior Kerrianne Rogers (Stony Point, NY).

With the win, Dominican improves to 6-9-2 overall and 5-4-1 in the CACC.

The Lady Chargers are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host the University of Bridgeport in a non-conference game scheduled for 3:30 pm.
