FALCONS RALLY TO DEFEAT WOMEN'S SOCCER

Rockville Centre, N.Y. (9/3/17) The Bentley University Falcons rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat the Dominican College women's soccer team, 2-1, this afternoon in a game played at the Molloy College Kickoff Classic being played on John A. Darcy Field.

Sophomore Danielle Gillespie (New City, N.Y.) netted the first goal of the 2017 season for the Lady Chargers as she won a ball in the box and found the back of the net to give DC a 1-0 advantage just 2:24 into the contest.

The Falcons rallied with a goal at 37:34 and tacked on the second goal in the 69th minute for the 2-1 victory.

Taylor Calero (New City, N.Y.) and Kaitlyn Montera (New City, N.Y.) had the other Lady Charger shots.

Junior keeper Angelica Contreras (Baytown, Texas) made 12 saves in the loss.

With the loss, Dominican falls to 0-2 on the season. 

DC will have their home opener this Saturday, September 9th as they host Georgian Court University in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener.
