WOMEN'S TRACK COMPETE AT RIDER INVITATIONAL

Lawrenceville, N.J. (4/14/19) The Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the Rider Invitational yesterday.

The 4x400m relay team of Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.), Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.), Ann McCormack (Pearl River, N.Y.) and Marissa Murphy (Bethpage, N.Y.) had the high finish of eighth place with a time of 4:36.13.

In the 4x100m relay, the team of Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.), Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.), Joseph-Jarvis and Jean-Pierre finished in ninth place with a time of 51.80.

Sophomore Zaria Hankins (Ossining, N.Y.) took 11th place in the shot put with a throw of 9.72m (31 feet, 10.75 inches) and Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) finished in 12th place with a throw of 9.38m (30 feet, 9.25 inches).

In the discus throw, Hankins finished in 16th place with a throw of 15.95m (52 feet, four inches).

Jemedy ran the 200m dash in a time of 26.32 to finish in 14th place.  Jean-Pierre took 34th place with a time of 27.69 and Joseph-Jarvis finished in 44th place with a time of 28.72.  Ndiaye took 47th place with a time of 29.23, while Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) finished in 52nd place with a time of 31.07.

The 100m dash saw Jemedy take 16th place with a time of 13.00.  Jean-Pierre ran a time of 13.10 to finish in 18th place and Ndiaye took 31st place with a time of 14.21.  Hammond finished in 34th place with a time of 14.40 and Auguste took 38th place with a time of 14.97.

Hammond competed in the 100 hurdles where she took 20th place with a time of 18.56.

In the 800m run McCormack took 31st place with a time of 2:35.85 and Murphy finished in 35th place with a time of 2:44.05.  Megan Childs (Huntingdon, Pa.) took 39th place with a time of 2:56.38.
