St. Thomas Aquinas Wins Dominican College's Cross Country Invitational

Blauvelt, NY (10//9/06)         The St. Thomas Aquinas College Lady Spartans won the Dominican College Cross Country Invitational held this afternoon at Tallman State Park.

St. Thomas Aquinas College finished with a total score of 48 points, while Post University came in second place with a total score of 71 points.  Caldwell College finished third with 72 points and host Dominican College finished in fourth place with 88 points.  The University of Bridgeport and Queens College did not have enough runners for a team total.

Anna Iahova of the University of Brideport won the individual title with a time of 23:09, followed by teammate Kassie Iadarola with a time of 23:12.  St. Thomas Aquinas's top runners finished third and fourth as Ashley Toscano finished with a time of 23:16 and Laura Koch finished with a time of 23:19.

Jessica Lappe was the top finisher for Dominican with a time of 23:27 and a fifth place finish.
