2008 Domincian College Women's Cross Country Season Summary

 

The 2008 women's cross country team saw many changes from the 2007 season.  Head Coach Abdias Suero took over at the helm for Regina Pietanza, who resigned during the summer and the team lost captain, Jessica Lappe, who chose not to run this season.

Despite the changes the team went on to compete in six events this season and finished as high as seventh place at the Lehman College Lightning Invitational.  The Lady Chargers also hosted the annual Dominican College Invitational on Columbus Day.

In the final meet of the season the Lady Chargers finished eighth at the CACC Championships which were held on October 25th at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, PA. 

Suero is looking forward to the 2009 season as he plans to bring in a highly talented recruiting class and finish in the top five at the CACC Championships next year.
