Bloomfield, NJ (9/22/09) The Dominican College men's soccer team, ranked 14th nationally in the latest NSCAA/Adidas NCAA Division II Poll, upended host Bloomfield College, 2-1 this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.

Freshman midfielder Pedro Franklin De Araujo (Campinas-SP, Brazil) opened up the scoring at the 12:38 mark with unassisted goal for his second of the season.
The Deacons tied the game at 1-1 in the 31st minute of action on a goal from a shot from the six yard line.
Junior midfielder John Dumbuya (Boston, MA) picked up the game winning goal and his first of the season as he took the pass from freshman Alex MacDonald (High Wycombe, England) and took a shot from the 30 yard line that sailed over the top of the keeper into the net for the 2-1 Charger victory.
The Deacons out shot the Chargers 27-15 and held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalie Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) had 13 saves for the Chargers in the win.
With the victory Dominican improves to 7-0-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the CACC.
DC is back in action next Tuesday when they host Mercy College in a non-conference game. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 pm at the DC Soccer Field.
