CHARGERS FALL IN SEASON OPENER

Flushing, N.Y. (9/7/19) The Dominican College men's soccer team fell in their 2019 season opener to the Knights of Queens College, 1-0, this afternoon in a game played on Knight's Field.

The lone goal of the contest came at 12:38 in the first half for Queens.

The Knights outshot the Chargers, 16-11 in the game, while Dominican held the 7-2 advantage in corner kicks and the 8-7 edge in shots on goal.

Sophomore Patryk Gruca (Garfield, N.J.) led Dominican with three shots (two on goal) for the game.

Joshua Stephens (Stony Creek, Ontario) made six saves in the loss.

Dominican returns to action on Wednesday, September 11th when they host the College of Saint Rose.
