MEN'S SOCCER DROPS CONFERENCE GAME TO GOLDEY-BEACOM COLLEGE

Wilmington, DE (10/5/19) The Dominican College men's soccer team fell to Goldey-Beacom College by a score of 2-1. 

After the loss, the Chargers fall to 3-7 (1-3 CACC) and the Lightning improve to 7-3 (4-0 CACC) on the season. 

Tyler Doll (St. Louis, Mo.) started in net for the Chargers and made four saves to help keep the Chargers in the game. Cole Lewis started in net for the Lightning and recorded three saves. 

The Chargers took eight shots as a team with Ewan Gray (Middlesbrough, England) and Maximino Casares Martinez (Ciudad De Panama, Panama) each recording two shots each. Gray scored the only goal for the Chargers at 14:44 of the first half. 

The Lightning scored two unanswered goals to jump ahead of the Chargers. Luis Martins tied the game at 32:34 of the first half. Eduardo Coimbra scored with about seven minutes remaining in the game to help Goldey secure the victory. 

The Chargers will return home on Thursday, October 10th when they host the Cougars of Caldwell University at 2:00 PM at OMM Field #5.
