WOMEN'S SOCCER WINS REGULAR SEASON FINALE OVER BLOOMFIELD

Bloomfield, N.J. (11/6/19) The Dominican College women's soccer team ended the 2019 regular season with a conference win over Bloomfield College on Wednesday. 

DC defeated BC by a score of 2-0 to finish the regular season with a record of 6-8-4 (4-4-4 CACC). The Bears fall to 1-16-1 (0-11-1 CACC) on the season. 

The Bears took 10 total shots in the game. BC recorded four shots on goal but was unable to score. 

Lauren Buchanan (Union, N.J.) earned the shutout win for the Lady Chargers and recorded four saves to keep the Bears off the board. The Lady Chargers fired 15 shots in the game and recorded six on goal. Victoria Bonner (Kings Park, N.Y.) and Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) led the team in shots with four each. 

Montera got the Lady Chargers on the board with a goal at the 13:29 mark of the first half. DC held a 1-0 lead at halftime. Bonner extended the DC lead to 2-0 five minutes into the second half. 

The Lady Chargers have qualified for the 2019 Women's Soccer Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) playoffs. The Lady Chargers will visit the Jefferson University Rams on Tuesday, November 12th for the CACC Quarterfinals at 2:00 PM.
