LADY CHARGERS CROSS COUNTRY COMPETE AT PHILLY METRO CROSS COUNTRY MEET

Philadelphia, PA (9/20/08) The Dominican College women's cross country team competed in the 2008 Philly Metro Cross Country Meet held at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, PA this afternoon.

Philadelphia, PA (9/20/08)  The Dominican College women's cross country team competed in the 2008 Philly Metro Cross Country Meet held at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, PA this afternoon.

Samantha Klunk was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers as she ran the 5000 meter race in a time of 23:11 to finish in 41st place.  Alycia Shillingford finished in 43rd place with a time of 23:13.

Fellow freshman Maryanne Eaton ran a time of 25:37 to finish in 86th place, while Kristen Haycook finished in 93rd place with a time of 25:52.

Runner Shanice Scully fell and sprained her ankle during the race and was unable to finish, therefore the team did not qualify for a team score.

The Lady Chargers are back in action next weekend at the Belmont Classic.
