FIVE BASEBALL PLAYERS NAMED TO 2009 DAKTRONICS NCAA DIVISION II ALL-EAST REGION TEAMS
Orangeburg, NY (5/13/09) Five Dominican College baseball players have been named to the 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-East Region Teams as was announced today. Four players were named to the First Team, while one player received Second Team accolades.

Junior Willie Mann, sophomores Michael Munoz and Tom Kahl and freshman Justin Moore were all named to the Daktronics All-East Region First Team, while senior Brian Craig was named to the All-East Region Second Team.
Mann, a third basemen from Patterson, NY, is currently second on the team and ninth in the CACC with a .340 batting average. He leads the team with 48 hits and has seven doubles and 22 RBIs on the season. He is sporting a .404 slugging percentage and a .430 on base percentage. He also recently received All-CACC Second Team honors.
Munoz, a designated hitter from the Bronx, NY, is third on the team and 16th in the CACC with a .323 batting average. He is currently fourth on the team with 42 hits and has a .492 slugging percentage this season. He was recently named to the All-CACC First Team.
Kahl, a right-handed pitcher from Bay Shore, NY, has a 6-1 record this season. He has an 2.42 ERA in 70 2/3 innings, allowing 23 runs (19 earned) on 67 hits and 82 strikeouts. He leads the CACC in strikeouts, is third in ERA and is tied for second in wins. He is the 2009 CACC Pitcher of the Year.
Moore, who hails from Wantagh, NY, is currently leading the CACC and is tied for tops in the nation for Division II with 16 saves. He has an ERA of 1.66 in 21 2/3 innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on 23 hits and 13 strikeouts.
Craig, a right-handed hurler from Shenandoah, PA, is 6-2 on the year with an ERA of 4.20. He has 57 strikeouts on the season with opponents hitting .231 against him. In 64 1/3 innings, he has allowed 38 runs (30 earned) on 59 hits and is tied for second in the CACC in wins.
