Orangeburg, NY (4/20/11) The visiting Eagles of Post University swept a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header from host Dominican College this afternoon in games played at Veteran's Park. Post took game one, 2-0 in ten innings and cruised to victory in the nightcap, 12-0.

Orangeburg, NY (4/20/11) The visiting Eagles of Post University swept a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header from host Dominican College this afternoon in games played at Veteran's Park. Post took game one, 2-0 in ten innings and cruised to victory in the nightcap, 12-0.
Game One: The game was scoreless through nine innings when the Eagles struck for two unearned runs in the tenth as they took advantage of two Charger errors for the 2-0 victory.
Dominican got eight hits in game one, but left seven runners on base.
Starter Dave Bartuska (Duryea, PA) went eight innings in the no decision, scattering four hits and striking out eight batters. Reliever Justin Moore (Wantagh, NY) suffered the loss (5-1) in two innings of work with two runs (none earned) on two hits.
Game Two: Post pounded out 19 hits the second game to the Chargers four hits. The Eagles scored two runs in the third, added six in the fourth, two in the fifth inning and put two more runs on the board in the ninth for the 12-0 victory.
Starter Richard Leachy (Brookfield, WI) took the loss (1-4) in 3 2/3 innings of work, allowing eight runs (five earned) on 11 hits and four strikeouts. Ryan Calby (Huntington Station, NY) went 3 1/3 innings of work allowing two runs on five hits and Sal Sanquini (Levittown, NY) pitched the final two innings.
With the losses Dominican falls to 20-13 overall and 12-4 in conference play.
