VARGAS TABBED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/28/15) Dominican College baseball player, Mark Vargas, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 26th. This is his first Rookie of the Week honors this season.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/28/15)  Dominican College baseball player, Mark Vargas, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 26th.  This is his first Rookie of the Week honors this season.

Vargas, a freshman infielder from Bronx, N.Y., finished the week with a .320 batting average, a .379 on-base percentage and a .640 slugging percentage in six games played. Recorded 8 hits in 25 at-bats with two doubles and two home runs. He had 9 RBIs and five runs scored. On the field he had four put outs and seven assists for a perfect 100% fielding percentage.
