DIAZ NAMED TO ABCA/RAWLINGS DIVISION II ALL-AMERICA THIRD TEAM
2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America Teams
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/29/26) Dominican University baseball player, Erick Diaz, has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America Third Team as was announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) today.
This is Diaz's first ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors.
The sophomore outfielder hit .379 with 17 homers (a single season program record) with 48 RBIs, 52 runs scored, and 21 stolen base this season. He was previoulsy named to the All-CACC First Team for the second straight season. Diaz was also named to the D2CCA East All-Region First Team, the NCBWA All-East Rrgion First Team and to the ABCA/Rawlings East All-Region First Team.
He joins relief pitcher Scott Borgmann of Wilmington University as the two players from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to earn All-America accolades.
The ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams are selected by members of the ABCA All-America committees, with only ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections eligible for All-America honors. The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-Region teams were announced Tuesday.
Rudy Garbalosa of Lynn University serves as Chair of the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee. Committee members also include Jim Gantt (Catawba College), Rick Giannetti (Dominican University), Dave Hajek (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs), Ryan Kelley (Wayne State University), Alex Koch (Wayne State College), Marc Marizzaldi (Seton Hill University) and Paul Svagdis (Westmont College).
