Middletown, DE (3/16/09) The Dominican College men's golf team opened up the spring season with a fourth place finish at the Wilmington University Spring Classic held at Frog Hollow Golf Course.
Middletown, DE (3/16/09) The Dominican College men's golf team opened up the spring season with a fourth place finish at the Wilmington University Spring Classic held at Frog Hollow Golf Course.
Post won the team title with a two-day total of 584 (290, 294). Goldey-Beacom College finished in second with a total of 606 (304, 302), while host Wilmington University took third with a total of 610 (294, 316). DC had a combined score of 619 (310, 309) to take fourth place while Dowling, the College of St. Rose and Nyack rounded out the rest of the team scores.
Sophomore Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) was the top finisher for the Chargers with rounds of 74 and 76 for a two-day total of 150 to finish in a tie for seventh place. Fellow sophomore Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) had a total score of 154 (76, 78) to finish in a tie for 13th place, while James Reppert, Jr (Joppatowne, MD) shot a 158 (79,79) to finish in 19th place.
Freshman Corey Fitzgerald (Sherburne, NY) finished in 20th place with rounds of 83 and 76 for a total of 159 and senior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) shot an 81 and 82 for a 163 total score and a 26th place finish.
The Chargers are back in action this weekend at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational held at Rum Pointe Golf Course in Berlin, Maryland.
