DOMINICAN LEADS FIELD AFTER DAY ONE 2008 ECAC DIV. 11 MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Riverhead, NY (9/22/08) Dominican College shot a 297 on day one to lead the field of 20 teams at the 2008 ECAC Division III Men's Golf Championships. Adelphi University (302), University of Massachusetts-Lowell (304), St. Thomas Aquinas University (304) and Le Moyne College (304) round out the top five after Day One from the Long Island National Golf Course.

Andrew Lee (Dominican College) and Brian Viola (St. Thomas Aquinas College) each shot a 68 to lead the field of 100 golfers.
Junior Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) is currently in fifth place after firing off a round of 72. Freshman John Murphy III (South Windsor, CT) is in a tie for 22nd place with a round of 77 and sophomore Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) shot an 80 to be in a tie for 48th place.
Freshman Corey Fitzgerald (Sherburne, NY) rounds out the DC scoring with a round of 87 to be in a tie for 80th place after the first round.
Play resumes at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22 for day two of the championships.
