CHARGERS WIN SPRING GRIFFIN INVITATIONAL
Avondale, Pa. (3/29/16) The Dominican College golf team won the team title and freshman Daniel Parker (Ocean City, Md.) took home the individual championship this afternoon at the Spring Griffin Invitational hosted by Chestnut Hill College at Inniscrone Golf Course.
Avondale, Pa. (3/29/16) The Dominican College golf team won the team title and freshman Daniel Parker (Ocean City, Md.) took home the individual championship this afternoon at the Spring Griffin Invitational hosted by Chestnut Hill College at Inniscrone Golf Course.
Dominican won the team title with a combined score of 311 (+31), followed by Chestnut Hill College (313) and Nyack College (328) to round out the top three.
Parker won the individual title with a score of 72, finishing two shots over par.
Goldey-Beacom College came in fourth (335) and Immaculata University took fifth (343). Penn State - Abington finished in sixth (346), while Philadelphia University, Neumann University at University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg all tied for seventh place with a score 350. University of the Sciences took tenth place (380) and Stockton University finished in eleventh place (369). Arcadia University had a team score of 386 to take 12th place, while New Jersey City University finished in 13th place with a score of 389.
Nolmans Lode (Brussels, Belgium) tied for fourth place overall with a score of 78 (+8), while Leonard Lee (Wyckoff, N.J.) tied for seventh place after shooting a 79 (+9).
CACC Rookie of the Week, Hunter Wescott (Portland, Ore.) shot an 82 (+12) to finish in a tie for 13th place, while senior Brian McGuigan (Hawthorne, N.J.) tied for 34th place with a score of 89 (+19).
Dominican is scheduled to compete at the ACE Club next Tuesday.
