LUNDVALL AND GOMEZ CERVANTES QUALIFY FOR ATLANTIC/EAST REGIONAL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/2/22) Dominican College men's golfers Alexander Lundvall and Alejandro Gomez Cervantes have qualified to participate in the 2022 NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Tournament to be held May 5-7 at Ravenwood Golf Club and co-hosted by Le Moyne College and Rochester Sports.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/2/22) Dominican College men's golfers Alexander Lundvall and Alejandro Gomez Cervantes have qualified to participate in the 2022 NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Tournament to be held May 5-7 at Ravenwood Golf Club and co-hosted by Le Moyne College and Rochester Sports.
Lundvall (Stockholm, Sweden) acquired three top five finishes this season, including a second place finish at the Jefferson Tri-Match and a tie for third place finish at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
Gomez Cervantes (Torreon, Mexico) had four top five finishes this season, including a tie for fourth place at the CACC Championships. He was named to the CACC All-Tournament Team for his efforts at the league championship.
Both student-athletes are part of the field of 32 student-athletes competing as individuals and among the 80 teams that have been selected to participate in regional competition of the 2022 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships.
At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals May 16-20 at TPC Michigan in Detroit, Michigan. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven. The finals will be hosted by Wayne State (Michigan) and the Detroit Sports Commission.
