MEN'S GOLF CONCLUDE SEASON AT CHARGER CHALLENGE
Suffern, N.Y. (4/28/26) The Dominican University New York men's golf team concluded the 2025-2026 season at the Charger Challenge, held yesterday and today at Spook Rock Golf Course and hosted by the Chargers.
Post University won the team title with a total score of 593 (297, 296). Adelphi followed with a 597 (301, 296) and Franklin Pierce University took third with a 625 (323, 302) total score.
Dominican concluded the tournament with a fourth-place finish with a two-day total of 646. DUNY shot a 327 in the first round and followed with a 319 second round score. In the two-day tournament, the Chargers had three birdies on day one and recorded six birdies on the final day.
Sophomore Giacomo Moltedo tied for 16th place with rounds of 79 and 78 for a 157 total score. He tallied three birdies in the second round.
Colin Kowalski finished the tournament with a 159 total score after rounds of 77 and 82 to finish in 18th place and had one birdie in the first round.
Finishing in 19th place was Joseph Benesch with a total score of 161. He shot an 85 on day one with two birdies and followed with a 76 and three birdies in round two.
Freshman Rodrigo Romero took 25th place with scores of 86 and 83 for a two-day total of 169.
Following play today, the team honored seniors: Joseph Benesch and Colin Kowalski.
