STRONG SECOND HALF LEADS CHARGERS BASKETBALL OVER CONCORDIA CLIPPERS
Bronxville, NY (12/9/10) The Dominican College men's basketball team outscored host, Concordia College, 46-26 in the second half to lift the team to a 77-61 victory this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest held at the Meyer Athletic Center.

The Clippers held a 16-9 advantage with 12:47 left in the first half, but the Chargers fought back to cut the deficit to a point after a dunk by freshman Nick Smith (Middletown, NY) with 6:16 remaining before the break. Concordia closed out the half with 14-10 run to held a 35-31 lead at the intermission.
DC took their first lead of the second half at the 13:03 mark as freshman guard Khaleev Ginyard (Brentwood, NY) hit back-to-back three point baskets for a 47-45 lead. The Chargers would extend their lead to as many as 22 points (75-53) and went on to the 77-61 victory. Dominican had a huge 44-13 run during the second half.
Ginyard led all scorers and three Chargers in double figures with 22 points, shooting 6-9 from the three point arc. Senior center Almin Hodzic (Budd Lake, NJ) added 18 points, while guard Leon Porter (Laurel, MD) added 11 points and five assists in the victory. Sophomore Cory Quimby (Otisville, NY) led the team with 12 rebounds.
The Chargers shot well from the three point line as they went 7-14 (50%).
With the victory Dominican improves to 1-7 overall and 1-1 in the CACC.
