POST UNIVERSITY RALLIES TO DEFEAT MEN'S BASKETBALL
Waterbury, CT (2/17/11) The Post University men's basketball team rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat the visiting Dominican College Chargers, 56-51 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division clash held at the Drubner Center.

A layup from sophomore Leon Porter (Laurel, MD) with 10:17 left in the first half gave the Chargers a 17-10 advantage and later closed out the first half with two shots from the charity stripe to put Dominican ahead 31-20 at the intermission.
Two free throws from sophomore Gerald Hill (Gwynn Oak, MD) extended the DC lead to 13 points (37-24) with just over 17 minutes left in regulation when the Eagles came back with a 18-0 tear over almost the next eight minutes to take 42-37 lead. The Chargers cut the lead to a point (49-48) on a layup from forward Johnathan Brown (Central Islip, NY) with 1:07 left to play, but the Eagles closed out the contest with a 7-3 run for the 56-51 victory.
Senior center Almin Hodzi (Budd Lake, NJ) led the Chargers with the game's only double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Porter finished with 11 points.
With the loss Dominican falls to 14-12 overall and 10-5 in the CACC.
DC returns to action next Wednesday when they travel to Nyack College in a CACC North Division game scheduled for 8pm.
