O'MAHONY NAMED TO THE 2024-25 CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
2024-25 CACC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/15/25) The 2024-25 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic Team was recently released by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The team contains 19 student-athletes representing nine conference institutions.
Dominican University New York had one player named to the team as Michael O'Mahony was named to the team for the second straight year.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at the end of the immediately preceding term, must be enrolled for at least two full-time semesters at his/her current institution, and must be a second-year student-athlete at his/her current institution. The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.
CACC finalist Post University led the league by placing five players on the All-Academic Team. Bloomfield College and Georgian Court University garnered three honorees apiece. Among the student athletes recognized were two – Post's Ta'Quan Williams (3.91) and Yarden Ashkenazi of Caldwell University (3.90) – who maintain a GPA of 3.90 or higher.
More than half of the 2024-25 honorees – a total of 10 – are repeat winners. Post's Harrison Warnock was recognized for the fifth occasion and teammate Derrick Thomas II for the fourth. Third-time honorees included Jamling Lama of Felician University, Bloomfield's Egward Ngene, and Vernon Johnson of Holy Family University. There were five two-time winners on the list as well.
