MEN'S BASKETBALL CLOSES OUT HOLIDAY HOOPS CLASSIC AGAINST MONTANA ST.-BILLINGS
Las Vegas, NV (12/21/25) The Dominican University New York men's basketball team closed out their trip to Las Vegas, NV and the Holiday Hoops Classic against the Yellow Jackets of Montana State University Billings.
The Yellow Jackets, receiving votes in the NABC, defeated the Chargers by a score of 89-68 as they improved to 12-2 overall. The Chargers fall to 6-5 overall after the loss.
The Chargers held a two-point lead with eight minutes left to play in the first half but the Yellow Jackets regained the lead and outscored DU 20-10 to close out the half. MSUB extended their lead in the second half on their way to the 89-68 victory.
Dominican was led by Koi D. Kirk, Jr. and Isaiah Honis who shared a team-high 16 points each. Honis also picked up a team-high seven rebounds while Kirk added five boards, three assists, and three steals.
Chance Morrish added 12 points while bringing in three boards and added two steals. Elijah Peters brought in six rebounds and also recorded three steals.
The Chargers return to action after the holiday break when they host CACC opponent Wilmington University on January 3rd for the 18th Annual James Clancy Memorial Game at 3:00 PM.
