CHARGERS DROP ROAD GAME TO LIONS
Lakewood, N.J. (1/10/26) The Dominican University New York men's basketball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host Georgian Court University, 83-76, this afternoon in a game played in the Wellness Center.
With the loss, the Chargers are now 6-8 overall and 3-4 in conference play.
Dominican opened the contest with the first eight points for the early advantage, however the Lions rallied and would take a ten-point lead (50-40) into the locker room at the intermission.
The Lions would never relinquish the lead in the second half, leading by as many as 23 points (72-49) with 9:44 left in regulation. The Chargers went on a 23-6 run to cut the deficit to six points (78-72) with 1:47 and then again with 47 second to go (80-74), but that would be as close as they would get en route to the 83-76 victory.
Junior guard Chance Morrish led three Chargers in double figures with 22 points, five assists and three steals in the loss.
Tyler Edore pulled down a career high 17 rebounds with 20 points and three blocks, while Key'Sean Maynard netted 13 points and five assists.
The Chargers return to action on Wednesday evening when they host the University of Bridgeport. Tip-Off is slated for 7:30pm on Coach Baxter Court.
