CHARGERS FALL TO COURGARS IN SERIES FINALE
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/3/26) The Dominican University New York men's basketball team fell to the visiting Cougars of Caldwell University, 78-71, this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
The win completes the series sweep for the Cougars, while the Chargers drop to 8-13 overall and 5-8 in conference play.
An Isaiah Honis layup with 8:26 remaining in the first half gave Dominican their biggest lead of the game at 24-19. An 8-1 run by the Cougars gave them the advantage and they went into the break with a 37-34 lead.
From there, Caldwell would lead by as many as 13 points (65-32) with 8:11 left, but the Chargers scored the next nine points to cut the deficit to 65-61. DUNY would cut the lead to five points twice in the last minute and a half of the game, but that would be as close as they would get as the Cougars went on to the 78-71 win.

Javel Cherry came off the bench to score 10 points, while Tyler Edore netted eight points and seven boards.
