Jones most recently served as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Nyack College/Alliance University from 2018–2023, where he revitalized the Warriors’ program. Under his leadership, Nyack achieved back-to-back CACC Tournament appearances (2021–2022) and earned the first NCAA Tournament bid in program history in 2021. His tenure also included the recruitment and development of several standout players:

- Isayas Aris – 2022–23 First Team All-CACC, First Team All-Met, NCAA Statistical Champion (Double-Doubles Leader)

- Joel Bailey – Three-time All-CACC honoree (2019–2022), NABC East Region All-District Second Team, and a member of the Senior Jamaican National Team that competed in the 2021 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in Central America

Before his collegiate head coaching role, Jones led the Nanuet High School Girls’ Basketball Program (2014–2018). In each of his four seasons, he guided the team to the Section One Playoffs, quickly transforming the program’s culture. In just his second year, he coached Nanuet to a .500 record and capped the 2017–18 season by earning League Coach of the Year honors after guiding his team to two impressive playoff victories over Saunders High School and No. 4–seed Tappan Zee.

His coaching career began at his alma mater, Nyack College, where he served as a Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach for four seasons. His responsibilities spanned all areas of the program, including recruiting, opponent scouting, defensive coordination, community relations, and alumni engagement.

As a player, Jones was a standout two-year member of the Nyack College men’s basketball team. He earned All-CACC honors in 2008–09 and helped lead the Warriors to the 2010 NCCAA National Championship Game, where he was selected First Team All-Tournament.

Jones graduated from Nyack College in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration in History. He later returned to complete his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in 2021.

He currently resides in Ulster County with his wife, Frances, and their three children—Jacob, Josiah, and Cali.
