REDHAWKS TOP MEN'S LACROSSE
Hillburn, N.Y. (3/11/16) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team fell in East Coast Conference (ECC) action this evening to the visiting Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan College, 14-8, in a game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

RWC netted five goals in the first quarter to take a 5-0 lead, but senior attacker Conor Reeves* (Tappan N.Y.) got DC on the scoreboard on a man-up goal off the assist from Aaron Yulfo (Shirley, N.Y.) with 14:32 left in the second quarter. Kevin Mayer (Wantagh, N.Y.) followed 35 seconds later with a goal following the dish from ECC Rookie of the Week David Arent (Huntington Beach, Calif.).
Arent made the score 6-3 with 11:44 to go before the break with an unassisted goal and Reeves later followed with his second game goal after the pass from Blake Israel (Parkland, Fla.) with 1:27 left. The Redhawks netted the final goal of the half to increase their lead to 9-4.
The third quarter belonged to Roberts Wesleyan as they tallied two more scores to make the score 11-4 and added two more to start the fourth quarter for the 13-4 advantage.
Dominican broke the run as Arent netted two man-up goals, one with 6:51 on the clock off the pass from Mayer and the other with 1:56 left. Ryan Wiberly (Setauket, N.Y.) recorded a goal with the assist going to Reeves and Israel scored the last goal for the Chargers 42 second left.
The Redhawks scored the final game goal for 14-8 score.
Arent finished with three goals and one assist, while Reeves had two goals and one assist.
Joseph Fabiilli (Glen Head, N.Y.) had 11 saves in 45:00, while Carlos Villaman (Montgomery, N.Y.) had four saves in 10:04 of action.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
