Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/16/19) Dominican College men's lacrosse player, Kyle Souza, has been named to the 2018-2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team as was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and announced today.

This is Souza's second consecutive Google Cloud Academic All-District® honors.

Souza, a senior defender from Stratford, Conn., sports a cumulative GPA of 3.98 in his major of Criminal Justice.  His future plans includes attending law school and pursuing a career as an attorney.  A two-year captain, Souza has been a vocal and emotional leader for the Chargers and the heart of the defense for the past four seasons.

Souza is the only student-athlete from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to be named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team.

He is a two-time All-CACC selection (Second Team in 2019 and First Team in 2018) and was the recipient of the CACC Top XVI Award during the CACC Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.  The Top XVI Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the CACC championships.

Souza's career stats include 55 games, 71 ground balls and 42 caused turnovers.  He finishes his career sixth all-time in program history in caused turnovers.
